Overview
The Madison Donor Antenna (MC-7300) is a wide-band, high-gain parabolic grid antenna designed to capture the strongest available outdoor 4G/5G signal and deliver a clean, stable input to your in-building coverage system. Whether you’re feeding a repeater/booster solution or providing the donor source into a DAS front end, the donor antenna is the first (and often most critical) part of the RF chain. A strong donor link improves overall performance, supports consistent indoor levels, and helps reduce the risk of instability caused by unwanted signal pickup or poor separation.
The MC-7300 supports modern multi-band deployments across low-band coverage through to mid-band 5G. It spans 698–960 MHz, 1425–1535 MHz, 1690–2700 MHz, and 3300–4000 MHz, making it suitable for a wide range of carrier and frequency combinations across Australia. High gain performance helps maximise donor signal quality, delivering up to 25 dBi depending on band.
The antenna’s directional design focuses reception toward the serving cell site and helps minimise pickup from behind the antenna. Strong front-to-back performance and tight beamwidths support better isolation, which is particularly useful when aiming to maintain stable operation in challenging RF environments. The MC-7300 supports vertical or horizontal polarisation, allowing installers to align to the serving sector’s polarisation for best results.
The MC-7300 is engineered for practical rooftop and mast installations. It uses a professional 4.3-10 Female connector and a 50 Ω impedance, with a 50 W maximum input power rating. Integrated DC-ground lightning protection provides an added layer of resilience for exposed outdoor locations. The lightweight aluminium reflector and durable construction suit harsh conditions, with an operating temperature range of -40 to +65°C.
Mounting is straightforward, with support for common mast sizes (Ø38–Ø52 mm). The antenna has a compact footprint at 600 × 990 mm and weighs approximately 2.0 kg, making it easier to transport and position during installation.
If you’re aiming for reliable in-building coverage, the donor antenna selection matters. The MC-7300 is a practical, high-performance option when you need strong outdoor signal capture, improved isolation, and wide-band support—helping your in-building solution start with the best possible RF foundation.
